Nancy White was originally from Southern California and got to Michigan in a round about way from Maine and Texas! She has a law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, but has not practiced law for several years. She met her future husband, Chris Bailey,  in the summer of 1989 in Rhode Island when they were both taking an intensive German language course.

She then moved from California to Maine and Chris finished up a degree in economics. He then decided to get a PhD and was accepted at  Texas A&M (go Aggies!!) and received his degree from there.

However, they just could not stand the Texas heat and got positions at Central Michigan University. Nancy teach various law course and Chris teaches economics.

They like to garden and they live with thier dog, Star-e, in Mt. Pleasant.
